Take A Packed Lunch To Uni

Packed Lunch

If you are one of those people who have degrees that involve going into uni everyday (over lunch), then by simply making your own packed lunch, you could save yourself a lot of money very easily.

If you buy a £2 sandwich from your student union and spend another £2 a day on drink and snacks, then in a week you could spend £20 just on lunch.  This could add up to £200 a semester!

While you do still have to pay for the ingredients to make your packed lunch, the savings over buying your lunch are considerable.

I find that many even living on campus pop in to buy a drink and a snack. So this is just as relevant to those who live right next door to class!

If student’s don’t need to go the whole hog with a lunchbox (I didn’t), it’s still worth thinking about some sort of flask filled with water/squash/tea (even a top expensive flask would pay for itself in a couple of weeks). Also, don’t buy a snack each day, buy a few multipacks at the supermarket. Again, big savings to be made and time saved from queuing up at the shop each day.
