Share Lifts and Save Money

by Money Saving Student · Save Money

LiftShare.org

I have just found a brilliant free website called LiftShare.org, which as the name suggests is a site which you can use to save on transport by organising lift sharing.

How Does It Work?

You register for free with the site (which currently has 220,001 members) and you enter your location, destination and frequency of travel. It then tells you potential matches and you choose the best one and then email that person. It’s pretty simple.

What Types of Transport Can You Use?

LiftShare.org currently supports car sharing, taxi sharing, walking and cycling. Probably the most useful ones are taxi sharing for nights out and car sharing for getting to uni everyday. You could also possibly use car sharing for going home from uni if you have a long journey, however you probably won’t find many matches.

What Are The Benefits?

It will save you money, as well as reducing your impact on the environment.

Alternatives

You could just share lifts with your friends, or travel by bus or train depending on your journey.

    Hey,

Your site is brilliant, but you might want to learn some other adjectives.
