If you are a fan of music it is now possible to get paid to review songs on a free new website called Slicethepie, which aims to give fans an involvement at various stages of the music industry including scouting, breaking and investing in new bands.

Scout Rooms

This is where you get paid for reviewing tracks by giving them a rating out of five stars and writing a brief review of the song (roughly three sentences is adequate). However, your scout rating is based on the quality of your review and how accurate your rating is compared with other scouts, therefore you have to be careful about your review.

Potential Earnings

You could potentially earn if you where a three star scout (9p per track) and reviewed ten songs a day (roughly 15 minutes work) about £27 per month, which is not bad for listening to music. In order to get paid by Slicethepie the minimum payout is just £5 and you can be paid via Paypal.

Bands

Slicethepie is also great if you have a band but myspace isn’t working for you, as if your band is good enough you can use the site to finance your first album.
