Music is pretty expensive these days with itunes charging a huge 79p per track to its UK customers. However, it is possible to listen to an absolute massive amount of music for free on a new site called Songza that was launched in November 2007.
How Does It Work?
You simply type in the name of a song or band and Songza finds the song in an instant. You can then play the song, rate it, watch the video or create a playlist with just one click.
Why It’s Brilliant
- Its FREE
- It is so simple to use
- It has a huge database of songs
- You can create playlists
- Its brilliant for listening to music before you go out
Bad Points
- Some songs are of poor quality
- You can only listen to the songs online
Alternatives
There are other music search engines out there such as Seeqpod.com, however none of them are as easy to use and are fast and as good looking at Songza.

Not quite bye-bye itunes but this site is brilliant if you’re short of cash or just want to listen to a massive library of music for free
